Salsa Spring Camp

Mini Salsa Spring Camp

Intensive salsa weekend in spring (2018) at Langebæk Kursus og Retreat Center, near the ocean

It is the 13th time we host a salsa camp . If you like Salsa and Cuban rhythms, this is where it happens!

Come and get a lot of new inspiration. Get a joyful salsa weekend, and get to know new people.

Everyone can participate, both singles and couples. We have classes for intermediate, and for advanced.

We are used to make the salsa camp in the summer, and this year we have with great success been at Langebæk Kursus and Retreat Center, instead of at Rødkilde TeaterHøjskole, where we usually are. As they are renovating. Langebæk Kursus og Retreat Center is a very beautiful place in South Sealand. Read more about the place at www.kursusogretreat.dk.

Friday the 11th May - Sunday the 13th May (beginner and beginner/intermediate)

If you have any doubts about your dance level, see our guide under dance descriptions.

Accomodation

There will be space for around 40 sleeping participants every week. 30 in the house at double rooms or triple rooms, 2 single rooms, and when we are full at Langebæk, there are possibility to live in rooms in the manor, which is a 2 minutes walk away.

As always, we make divisions in to to different levels. The teaching will take place in two dance halls. It is also possible to attend the course and be day/evening participant and join all activities, without staying at Langebæk. There are hotels and guesthouses in the area, in the local city Kalvehave, and in Stege and Vordingborg.

We finish the last day with a big party arrangement. See the program for the whole week right below.

Every year we have 30% couples and 70% singles from all over the country, and the rest of Scandinavia, and a few from the rest of Europa, that participates in our fantastic salsa camp.

The classes

The first day everyone gets split up in two groups, after level.

Are very intensive, with max. 15-20 participants at each team. This makes it possible for the teacher to focus on every participant, and have time to help all the participants. You will besides Salsa, also get to dance a bit of some: Reggaeton, Bachata, Son and Rumba.

You don’t have to have a dance partner to participate, but it is always a good idea to try to find a friend, that will join. If you go to dance classes, you can ask one from your dancing team, if the Salsa Camp could be something for them. You shift dancing partners all the time, on every team, so everyone will get danced with a lot of different people.

The teachers in the camp are: Saul Perez Valdes, Yaima Viera Palli, og Yunier Oviedo Robertson. Assistant teachers are: Rey and Henri.
