Salsa Camp Weekend

Destination: Idrætshøjskolen Bosei, Præstø, South Zealand, Denmark
If you like Salsa and Cuban rhythms, this is where it happens! Come and join us at an intensive salsa weekend at Bosei Idrætshøjskole by Præstø, near Copenhagen. Everyone can participate, both singles and couples.
Join us at a joyful Salsa Weekend. Come and get a lot of new inspiration and get to know new people.
There will be 5 different levels: Beginners, Improvers, Intermediate, Advanced and Very advanced.

The classes
You don’t need to have a dance partner to participate, but it is always a good idea to try finding a friend, that will join, as we always pursue to have an equal amount of men and women. If you already take dance lessons, you can ask one from your dance class, if the Salsa Camp could be something for them. You shift dancing partners all the time, on every class, so everyone will get to dance with a lot of different people (also those who sign up with a dance partner).
To you, who have never tried to dance Salsa before, we can say, that everyone who went to the Salsa Camp last year, have learned to dance when the camp was over. :)
To all you, who already dance, we always have a lot of new to bring to the table. The classed are very inspiring and fun.

Important info: Like other years, we will ask everyone to bring their towels, sheets and bedding (not duvets and pillows).
Remember training clothes, soft shoes where you do not stand on the ground too firm, or dancing shoes. Saturday it is possible to buy dancing shoes down there. There are no private baths in the rooms, but communal baths in the hallways, which are gendered.

Accommodation at Bosei
The Salsa Camp will be held one hour drive from Copenhagen, at the beautiful Idrætshøjskolen Bosei, Evensølundvej 5, 4720 Præstø
We found this fantastic high school, with great surroundings and with the most beautiful facilities. Last year was our first year here and all the students were super happy with the place!
We have previously held the camp at Møn Friskole, Rødkilde Theater High School and a single year at Langebæk Course and Retreat Center - so we have been around a lot. But this new place is definitely the best place to date.
FACILITIES AT BOSEI
The main building was originally a sanatorium, and since they have expanded with Japanese inspired buildings.
There is a swimming hall, work out center, several activities- and sports rooms, and a fantastic natural environment. There is also a Japanese library, creative workshop, music room and much more. Around the buildings, there is woods, a soccer field, tennis courts and more. It is not far away from the ocean, so it is possible to also take a beach trip.
As a participant, you can make use of all the facilities without extra charge.
ROOMS
There is room for 100 participants at this Salsa Camp Weekend. 70 sleeping participants during the weekend, at 30 double rooms and 10 single rooms, together with 30 day participants.
Every year we have 30% couples and 70% singles from all over the country, and the rest of Scandinavia, and a few from the rest of Europa, that participate in our fantastic salsa camp.
We are always striving to get the number of women and men to match so that there is an even distribution. If we can see that there is a smaller number of women, we will close registration for women, until we can see that it is offset. Then we open up for registration of women again.
PARTICIPATE WITHOUT ACCOMMODATION
It is also possible to participate only at the course, and all the activities, without staying at Bosei.

Program
There are 5 hours classes Saturday, and 3 hours Sunday. Social dancing party Friday and Saturday evening.
Friday evening there is the arrival
Everyone arrives at the school /Check-in between 17:00 – 19:00.
19:00 – 20:00 Dinner
20:30 – 21:00 we have an information meeting in the hall.
21:00 – 23:00 we have Salsa dance (here everyone will be guided to which level they will dance at during the weekend)
Program Saturday
08:30 - 09:30: Breakfast
09:45 - 10:00: Morning meeting (in the hall)
10:00 - 11:30: Dance Classes
11:30 - 11:45: Juice and fruit
11:45 - 13:15: Dance Classes
13:30 - 14:30: Lunch
14:30 - 15:30: Free time and relaxing (It is possible to buy dancing shoes down there.)
15:30 - 16:00: Coffe and cake
16:00 - 18:00: Dance Classes
18:00 - 19:30: Free time and relaxing
19:30 - 20:30: Prom dinner
21:00 - 02:00: Party (This is an open event, where your friends and family and local citizens can participate. See under prices and booking, it is also possible to stay at Bosei.)
There is a break in the middle of the day, so you have time to relax, go to the beach, or enjoy a walk in the city.
In the evening there is more dance, where we make a Salsa Disco, so everyone can train what they have learned during the day and have fun together. We have a nice, cheap bar and take Mobile Pay.
